Should
you decide to progress further by taking your Practical Motorcycle
Test on either a 125cc or a 500cc motorcycle, it is compulsory that
you pass the Motorcycle Theory Test prior to your training.
The
multi-choice part of the test is delivered using a touch screen
computer and the Hazard Perception part records your responses
through the use of a computer mouse button. If you pass the
multi-choice part and fail the Hazard Perception part, you will fail
the test, and you will need to re-take both parts.
The
questions in the multi-choice Motorcycle Theory Test will contain
specific questions relating to motorcycling, and will not appear in
any other Theory Tests.
Part
1 – Multi-Choice
Each
question will appear on-screen, with several answer options from
which you will select the correct answer to the question by touching
the screen.
Part
2 - Hazard Perception The Hazard
Perception part is also delivered on a computer,
but you will be responding by clicking the mouse button. You will be
presented with a series of 14 video clips which feature typical road
scenes. In each clip there will be at least 1 developing hazard, but
1 of the clips will feature 2 developing hazards.
You
will be given your result by the Test Centre staff on your departure.
